Each baby pantry session, they assist over 50 families accounting for over 100 children.

CRC also offers a Job Center which assists people to write their resume and prepare for an interview, learn basic computer skills and provides individualized budget counseling. Last but not least, The Day Center program at the Community Resource Center supports the area’s homeless population. The purpose of the Day Center is to provide respite, showers, access to laundry and food to clients experiencing homelessness.

Dewey Beach Lions Club Honors Melvin Jones

Dewey Beach Lions attended the Melvin Jones breakfast on January 14, 2023 at the Maple Dale Country Club in Dover, Delaware. The breakfast was to honor the birthday of Melvin Jones, who founded Lions Clubs International. The Dewey Beach Lions joined Lions from across the state of Delaware for this joyous celebration. A video of Melvin Jones was shared; a reenactment of Helen Keller speaking at a Lions International Convention was performed; and a video of a Lion speaking at this past year’s Lions Convention about assisting the people of Ukraine with medical supplies and evacuation. These three parts of the morning program made us feel proud to be Lions.
