Dewey Beach Lions Club Contributes 300 Pairs of Eyeglasses To the Delaware Lions Sight Team

The Dewey Beach Lions Club is proud to make a contribution of 300 pairs of eyeglasses to the Delaware Lions Sight Team. The donation was accepted by Milford Lions Club Member Clyde Bragg who addressed The Dewey Beach Lions Membership on Thursday October 20th, at the Dewey Beach Lions Clubhouse. Also in attendance as a guest was Milford Lions Club Member Jean Bielefedt.

Lion Bragg made a very informative and compassionate presentation on the importance of the Lions Site Program presenting many examples of how the program works and how it has helped many people in need, especially children, not only in Delaware but throughout the world.

The Dewey Beach Lions Club continues to provide support for needy local families by constructing wheelchair ramps, providing loans of wheelchairs, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and other ambulatory equipment. The Dewey Beach Lions Club also sponsors Breakfast With Santa including Breakfast, Santa Visit, Crafts and Santa Letter Station from 9am-11am on Saturday, December 10th at the Dewey Beach Lions Clubhouse ,115 McKinley Street in Dewey Beach, DE. Adults $8.00 and a child with a paying adult free up through 9 years old, 10yrs & older $4.00. Please bring an unwrapped educational and/or interactive toy for ages 8-12 benefiting local Toys for Tots.
